About The Company
North American Biofuels Company (NABFC) was founded in 2005 in response to market demand for environmentally friendly fuel alternatives. NABFC's plant is located in Bohemia, New York and currently serves the North American market with a focus on the Northeast. We design and build production facilities that produce ASTM certified biodiesel from grease trap waste, vegetable oils and animal fats. By doing this, we provide a unique solution to a national disposal crisis, while at the same time offering an alternative fuel that is in high demand. NABFC is an independent fuel supplier to municipalities, corporations, blenders and distributors. Our biodiesel can either replace or be blended with petroleum diesel, making it a flexible choice on the path toward greener energy. |

Why NABFC Biodiesel?
Creating fuel and energy from vegetable oil is not a new concept. In fact, the first diesel engines were designed to run on vegetable oil. NABFC understands that the true cost of energy is found by combining economic impact with environmental impact. Following years of research and development, NABFC has perfected a process for generating a clean, renewable energy source through the beneficial re-use of a problematic waste stream. Grease trap waste, animal fats and food service are the fastest growing waste stream in the urban sector, and a waste stream with no easy solution. Through NABFC's unique refining method, one gallon of trap grease produces nearly one gallon of renewable energy in the form of a gallon of biodiesel. This beneficial re-use strategy has other significant benefits as well, including: Reduced reliance on oil Renewable biodiesel fuel is an important part of the future. As oil supplies are drawn down and geopolitical affairs make it more difficult and costly to produce, alternate sources of renewable energy will become more valuable. Lower cost Creating beneficial reuse of trap grease to create biodiesel fuel delivers a high-quality renewable energy source at a lower cost than other methods. In addition, transportation costs are reduced because utilizing the NABFC refining system, conversion takes place closer to the source of the raw material. Cleaner environment Converting trap grease through beneficial reuse to renewable biodiesel fuel solves a major environmental problem. Trap grease is nearly impossible to dispose of with current methods without creating significant environmental problems. By taking the trap grease out of the sewage cycle and creating a renewable energy and a beneficial reuse, the need to burn it, bury it, or inject it into the ground is eliminated. ASTM certified The biodiesel produced by the NABFC process meets ASTM D-6751 standards. No further refinement required NABFC biodiesel fuel is ready to be pumped into vehicles or power generators or may be blended at any ratio with petroleum diesel. |
